Chloe Fineman still has some work to do on her Harry Styles impression.
While chatting with Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg on the red carpet at the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary special on Sunday, she revealed her impression of the English Grammy-winning singer is “really bad.”
Fineman initially started impersonating Dimoldenberg, who is also English. “It’s like I’m looking in the mirror right now,” Dimoldenberg quipped in response before asking, “Is there an impersonation you can’t crack?”
“You right now, obviously,” Fineman joked before admitting, “Harry Styles is really bad.” She recalled doing the impression when the singer was on SNL once.
“I did it and he was like at the table and was so devastated by how bad it was,” Fineman said before trying to do her best British accent, “Anyway, I’m Harry Styles, anyway.”
“Sorry, is Harry in the room right now?” Dimoldenberg quipped.
The “As It Was” singer previously hosted SNL in 2019 and has appeared as the musical guest several times over the years. Fineman didn’t clarify which sketch the impersonation was for, as she and Styles have never appeared in a live SNL skit together before.
Fineman was among numerous current and former SNL castmembers as well as dozens of A-list celebrities who attended the SNL50 celebration over the weekend. Though Styles wasn’t at the anniversary show, other artists who appeared throughout included Sabrina Carpenter, Paul Simon, Miley Cyrus, Brittany Howard, Lil Wayne, The Roots and Paul McCartney.
Several more artists also performed at the SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert at Radio City Music Hall on Friday, including Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Jelly Roll, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Backstreet Boys and Arcade Fire, among others.
