Tracy Morgan appeared to become physically ill while watching the New York Knicks take on the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden on Monday night.
According to videos and photos posted online by those in the audience at the basketball game, Morgan became ill while sitting in his courtside seat, with photos showing him vomiting onto the floor. He was then escorted out of the arena in a wheelchair while holding what appeared to be a white towel, covered in red stains, up to his face. One commenter posted that his nose appeared to be bleeding.
According to People, Morgan became ill during the third quarter of the game, which was delayed for about 10 minutes while the actor was being taken care of.
A Madison Square Garden representative told People: “We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.”
Reps for Morgan, a Knicks fan, have not responded to a request for comment.
Morgan has had public health scares in the past. In 2012, he collapsed outside a building in Park City while attending the Sundance Film Festival “Superman ran into a little kryptonite. The high altitude in Utah shook up this kid from Brooklyn,” Morgan told his Twitter followers afterward. His publicist, Lewis Kay, said at the time that the incident was the result of a combination of exhaustion and altitude. Morgan returned to work on 30 Rock just a couple days later.
Morgan, who is diabetic, received a kidney transplant two years prior to his fall at Sundance.
And in 2014, the limo he was riding in was hit by a Walmart truck from behind while speeding on the New Jersey Turnpike. The actor broke his leg and was in a coma for two weeks, and he had to relearn how to walk and talk. A fellow passenger, James McNair, was killed in the accident.
Last month, Morgan returned to the Saturday Night Live studio to take part in the show’s 50th anniversary celebration.
